My aim is to evoke an emotional and spiritual connection with nature, emphasizing soft pastel’s luminous qualities to capture light, colour, and the transient beauty of the natural world. Lorraine Roberts is an award-winning Canadian artist that creates landscape, floral and abstract paintings in soft pastel. Her art hangs in private and corporate collections and has been juried into exhibitions across Canada, USA and Europe. Notable awards include first place at the Federation of Canadian Artists Toronto Chapter’s Spring Kaleidoscope Exhibition (2024), Top 100 Finalist in the PleinAir Salon Art Competition (2024 and 2025), and multiple Honorable Mention Awards in international competitions.

Lorraine is a juried member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a juried Member of The Pastel Society of America. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Artists of Canada.

Life comes full circle as Lorraine follows her dream of sharing the beauty of nature through her art. She welcomes you to visit her new gallery and studio at 12 Petworth Road in Yarker, Ontario (northwest of Kingston) Open Saturdays 11:00am-4:00pm or by appointment.
