Artist
Scott Maracle

An early career photographer capturing scenes of nature, Indigenous images, the creations of humankind, religious places, and people from within our local region and abroad.
When a stroke rendered me disabled in 2017, I began using my camera daily to assist with my damaged memory. Soon, I began receiving encouragement to pursue photography from people who viewed my photos. During my first few years of training, I received valuable advice and guidance from Deborah Samuel, a professional photographic artist who resided in my area. I also received support from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts in pursuing my objectives.
While I have compiled a considerable library of images over the past years, my focus currently revolves around 5 main themes: Nature, Indigenous Images, the Hand of Man, Religion and Faith, and simple images of Humankind. I feel these topics are connected in relation to my Indigenous culture and our story on Turtle Island.
In July 2025, I held my first solo exhibition here in Canada and followed that with solo exhibitions in Poland and Latvia.
